Best-known as one of the four members in the multi-platinum group Fifth Harmony, Normani began to explore a new musical direction on her debut solo single “Love Lies” with Khalid. Normani earned her first #1 at Top 40 Radio in the US with “Love Lies” and the single went double platinum. She followed up the success of “Love Lies” with another smash hit collaboration, “Dancing With A Stranger” with Sam Smith in 2019. The song immediately began climbing the charts upon release, scored Normani her second consecutive #1 single at Top 40 Radio in the US, and ranks as the world’s most played track at radio in 2019. 

Following the success of her two #1 smash hit collaborations “Love Lies” with Khalid and “Dancing With A Stranger” with Sam Smith, Normani released her new single, “Motivation” in August. The song’s release came with a stunning visual directed by Dave Meyers that has amassed over 61 million views on YouTube and it was the #1 trending video on YouTube shortly after release. And, quickly after release, “Motivation” dominated as the #1 most added song at pop radio in the US. Featured as Pitchfork’s “Best New Track” following release, The FADER declared “Motivation’ is an instantly-loveable bop,” PAPER Magazine proclaimed “Normani proves she’s an absolute triple threat, as if it wasn’t obvious before,” and V Magazine said “Motivation” proves she’s destined for superstardom.” 

While in the process of recording her debut solo album, Normani has collaborated with some of today’s top artists including Sam Smith, Calvin Harris, Khalid, Quavo, 6lack, Jessie Reyez, Kehlani, and more. In a feature with The FADER last summer, they proclaimed, “the list of people lining up to work with her is insanely impressive” and that “Normani’s new sound is grown and sexy.”
